Popestar, the second EP by Swedish rock band Ghost, consists mainly of covers chosen because they differ from the band’s own musical style. The only original track, “Square Hammer,” was conceived at the end of the sessions for Meliora, but was not included because the song had a different feeling. Popestar debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart, becoming the first EP to reach the chart’s top position.
